Important words

| dessert | /de-sær/ | Har dere en god dessert? — Do you have a good dessert? |
| regning | /reg-ning/ | Kan vi få regningen? — Can we have the bill? |
| tips | /tips/ | Vi gir 10% tips. — We leave a 10 percent tip. |
| allergi | /al-er-gi/ | Jeg er allergisk mot nøtter. — I am allergic to nuts. |
Tip
In Norway it is common to tip 10-15 percent if you are satisfied. Most restaurants have an English menu. "Dagens rett" (today special) is usually the cheapest and freshest option!
